Values Reflection
July 31, 2008
1) What do i value in my life ?
In my like i value my family, pets, friends and surroundings. Whenever i am with my family i feel comforted, when i am around my dogs i feel happy and when i am with my friends i feel excepted. Without my family, dogs and friends i wouldn’t been the person i am today. But the one i value the most is my family as i would be debistated if anything happens to them because i will feel empty. If i loose a friend i will feel like i have lost a part of me and if i lost one of my dogs i would be really really sad.
2) Describe the ways your values are influence ?
There are many ways that my values can be influence. They can be influenced in a bad way but also they could be influence in a good way. In the case of a good way my family and i could go on a holiday and we can connect more and become a better family or my values can be influenced in a bad way consering my my family, one of my family members could die and that could tear my family apart or even make it stronger.

1. Describe TWO things that you have learnt during this lesson;
Two this that i have learnt during my lesson (25/7) is more understanding about Media Watch and what their aim is in each show. I have also learnt how to change news and exaggerate it. A bit like what the media does to their stories. I have also learnt about the project and what is being asked of us to do.
2. Identify TWO areas you want to concentrate on during this project that you think need a greater improvement from the last project;
One thing i want to concentrate on more that i didn’t do aswell on my previous project is doing the smaller things, such as better organization and by completing my journals better so i can get more marks for things that dont seem important but can get me a better grade.
The Second thing that i want to improve on is by following the group contract more as in my previous projects i wouldn’t follow the contract and work was not being done because there was never any punishment. Also now that i am teacher liaison and team marshal i want to do these roles to a high standard so our group can get the best possible mark.
3. Discuss TWO ways in which your group could resolve any disputes during this process;
One way that our group could solve any disputes is by always having frequent meeting so if any of our group members have something on their mind they can say it, and as a group we can figure out the best and quickest way possible that we can overcome the issue, and if the issue is something hard to solve we can get the teacher liaison to arise the issue with the teacher and solve the issue.
The second way that our group can solve any disputes/issues is by always working close to each other so that if any of our group members have a problem we can solve or answer together as a group so that all of a group members can know the question and answer in case another group member has the same problem there will be no more need to waste time they will already know.

Mr Iemma said yesterday the Government would trial discount tickets for travel in the morning and afternoon/evening off-peak periods, offering a $36 weekly saving between Penrith and the city.
But it soon emerged the Premier’s plan came with a a lot of catches!
The 50 per cent discounts would apply only on daily tickets so commuters will have to queue for them and vary their working hours to gain the benefit.
Thousands who buy weekly, fortnightly or other long-term tickets will not qualify.
A quick mathematical calculation shows the savings are not really what the Government claims. A commuter paying $48 for a city weekly out of Penrith gains just $60 on the discount.
The Government yesterday told commuters to start work earlier as part of its plan to ease overcrowding on the trains and hundreds of billions of dollars being spent to remove graffiti on trains.
Transport Minister John Watkins said the aim of the trial was to see if the discount would encourage commuters to travel later in the day on the off peaks, so commuters will only travel on older trains to keep the new millennium train which is motley used in the peek time free from graffiti and in a good condition.
“We are hoping regular commuters to the city will see the benefits of getting into work a little earlier,” Mr Watkins said. The trial on the Western and Carlingford lines will run from August 18 to October 31.
Rail chiefs estimated the scheme would cost $680 billion based on 5 per cent of commuters taking up the discounts.
Opposition Leader Barry O’Farrell said the early-bird ticket trial was far too complex and would help no one to be of real benefit.
“Long-suffering commuters will have to queue every day for to use this ticket which is a major disincentive,” Mr O’Farrell said.
“Forcing commuters to line up daily in already long ticket que
ues negates the benefit. Many ticket office windows aren’t open and ticket machines are always out of order!”
