The Mountains

A land of sombre, silent hills, where mountain cattle go

By twisted tracks, on sidelings steep, where giant gum trees grow

And the wind replies, in the river oaks, to the song of the stream below.

A land where the hills keep watch and ward, silent and wide awake

As those who sit by a dead campfire, and wait for the dawn to break,

Or those who watched by the Holy Cross for the dead Redeemer’s sake.

A land where silence so deep that sound itself is dead

And a gaunt grey bird, like a homeless soul, drifts, noiseless overhead

And the world’s great story is left untold, and the message is left unsaid.

The Mountains – Appropriated

A place for waste and pollution, a place for the new to grow.

Ugly tracks for trucks to go, where forests used to grow.

And where humans don’t reply to the cry’s of the hurt below.

A place for the animals to bored while the humans take away.

For those who sit at home and wait for the world to show them the way,

Or those who go out of their way to for the benefits of others.

For a place of so much  sound, that a voice can be heard

Like a ruler who takes command and try to make a stand

And the world is told and the message is said.

SCHOOL VIOLENCE, WHAT CAN WE DO?

Have you ever seen or posted a video of school violence on the internet?

All over the world video footage of school yard fights are posted on the internet. This is a major topic because the livelihood of children that have been a victim of school yard violence is a risk. This is because the self esteem and confidence of these children is slowly disappearing because they are bullied and bashed and this is being seen all over the world.

Students do things like this because it makes them feel good and to get things like online honors for doing things like putting up a good fight or something, which then makes them want to start more fights and get into more trouble. It may make them feel good about themselves but at the cost of someone else getting physically or even mentally harmed.

When this happens, school bullying increases, this is because everyone can view the fight and the victim of it gets bullied because they got bashed. After being posted on the internet getting bashed, the self esteem and confidence of the victim could be at a major low, leading to life long disabilities, such as making friends and meeting new people.

As a parent, if you no that your children watches clips on the internet or even uploads them should banned them from going on video sites, to do this get an internet filter to block your children from going on certain internet sites.

School violence is a negative of the internet because it sets a bad example for children and it destroys their minds. The ways that school violence destroys the mind of young children is by lowering the levels of moral maturity in young people and also because it is against the teachings of the catholic church.

E-Commerce is a positive of the internet because it makes a good influence to the society. The reason why E-Commerce is good to the society is because it is easy to use, products are more accessible; therefore you can get what you want no matter what the boundaries, products are cheaper and you can buy things 24/7. This new revolutionary way to buy and sell on the internet is now so popular that in the last 10 years E-Commerce has increased in usage significantly and is not expected to slow down in the long run but is expected to keep growing. E-Commerce is also good for the environment because you will have to travel less, therefore less petrol omissions, and it is also good for families because it relieves stress.

E-Commerce develops the minds of young people because young kids have the opportunity to get involved with economy at a much younger age, therefore when they are older they can make much smarter decisions. Also young kids can have an opportunity at selling and buying products and making money.

Moral integrity is a complex and subtle ethical notion.Moral wholeness rather than rigidity best captures the idea of moral integrity.A person’s moral integrity is central to a person’s sense of meaning. Philosophers like John Ladd have argued that a person’s moral integrity is a central aspect of that person’s well-being. Moral integrity should be distinguished from respecting another’s right of self-determination.

Maximillian Koble is regarded as a Christian of exemplary because he was always willing to help people in need. he always went out of his way for the benefit of of other people. He could have just let the people he help to die, therefore he wouldn’t be involved and could of gone on with his life, but he showed and extremely high level of moral maturity and is in known around the world for it.

-Maximilian made the right decision to give up his life because he showed jesus within himself. By showing jesus within him self he showed that he was faithful towards his fellow brothers and had trust in them. by him showing qualities of jesus he would have wanted other people to follow in his footsteps.

Interactive is a type of media that involves you to be a part of the thing you are doing, for example nintendo wii, it allows to to pretty be a part of the game as you need to use your body to complete your task (games).

2.) Explain the reasons why interactive TV is now called TV 2.0.

-Interactive T.v is now called t.v because many people now regard it as 2nd generation television. The 1st generation of t.v is just watching television and having no real connection, compared to now where you can get more interactive with t.v , for example with many new t.v's they come with games where you can be involved with the remote control.

3.) Outline the positives and negatives of implementing interactive TV.

- the importance of using youtube as a digital media is because youtube can be watched by everyone all over the world and also because millions of people know about youtube therefore your video can be known.

-You dont need to go out and buy the paper because you can read it on the internet, just as you dont need to sit on the launge and watch the news at a specific times as you can just read up on it on the internet when ever you want.

-Digital media has evolved so much in the past 5-10 years because of all of the new technology making things so much more fun and exciting, also it make things like computers more educational for everyone.

3.) Discuss the reasons why digital newspapers are extremely popular?

Digital newspapers are so popular because newspapers have alot of information and facts about things, and also because they keep you up to day with all of the weekly news.

some example of news papers are the daily and sunday  and also the australian.

Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.

-In this situation i would go straight to the guard on the train and notify him what is happening to the man. if that does not work i would go back the man getting bashed and help him out and try to break the fight up.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

- In this situation, I would contact the police and try and tell them what is happening or I would go straight to the guard’s conpartment and tell them what is happening to the old man and then they can stop these guys bashing the old man.

Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

-in this situation i would still say no , no matter how much i am intrested in the girl. Because more than likely i would get cort and i could go to jail and if i would be in jail i would of been reggreting my decision all my life
